Download HereThank you for your interest in running in the 2025 Durham College Student Association (DCSA) General Election. This package contains all the necessary forms and information required to submit your candidacy. Please read the following instructions carefully to ensure your nomination is valid and submitted on time.
Nomination Submission Requirements
To be considered a candidate, you must complete and submit the following:
This form provides your personal details and declares your candidacy for the position you seek.
This form must include signatures from eligible students who support your candidacy:
Executive Chair candidates require 20 endorsements from full-time Durham College post-secondary students.
Faculty Director candidates require 10 endorsements from students within their respective faculty.
- Verification of Eligibility
By submitting the nomination form, you authorize the Chief Returning Officer to verify your academic and disciplinary standing with Durham College.
Submission Deadline & Process
- All nomination packages must be submitted by 1:00 PM on February 21, 2025. No late submissions will be accepted.
You may submit your nomination in one of the following ways:
In-Person Submission:
Deliver a completed paper nomination package (Nomination Form + Endorsement Form) to the DCSA Offices at:
Oshawa Campus: Oshawa Student Centre, Room 210
Whitby Campus: Whitby DCSA Office, Student Lounge
Candidates submitting their nomination in person must include both the Nomination Form and the Endorsement Form in a single package.
Online Submission:
Submit your Endorsement Form via the online nomination portal at https://mydcsa.ca/elections. If you submit online, you do not need to submit a paper copy.
Next Steps After Submission
Confirmation of Receipt:
Upon submission, you will receive an acknowledgment confirming that your nomination has been received and is under review.
All Candidates Meeting:
If your nomination is valid, you must attend the mandatory **All Candidates Meeting on February 25, 2025** to review campaign rules and election procedures.
Campaign Period:
Approved candidates may begin campaigning on February 27, 2025, in accordance with the election policies.
Failure to submit a complete nomination package, including the required endorsements, will result in disqualification from the election.
