In my brief time at Durham College, I’ve engaged with students from across the Faculty, and have heard, seen, and experienced many areas which emphasize areas of improvement for the DCSA . As a Paralegal Student, our professors have stressed the importance of justice, and equality for everyone under the system; It is with this belief that I think the DCSA can improve in some key areas:

• Increase involvement/communication with the Region of Durham, specifically in regards to the Public Transit needs of Students
• Improve transparency in DCSA’s budgetary allocations by publicly posting annual financial statements
• Expand communication by DCSA’s Legal Aid for Students to increase awareness of legal rights

As Director from the Faculty of Social and Community Services, I hope to improve the day-to-day wellbeing of Students in every way the DCSA can.
