Hey DC students! My name is Sahil Mehra, and I’m running to be your next Executive Chair of the Durham College Student Association (DCSA).
I’ve been actively involved in campus life—volunteering, participating in events, working at the Athletics Department, and always looking for ways to improve student experiences. I know how important it is to balance studies, work, and personal growth, and I want to ensure every student has access to the resources and opportunities they need to succeed.
If elected, I’ll focus on:
✔️ More student events, giveaways, and chances to get involved
✔️ Better food security programs to support those in need
✔️ Increased emergency student funding for those who need it most
✔️ A better insurance provider with easier claims and better benefits
✔️ Expanding on-campus job opportunities and increasing awareness about DCSA student jobs
✔️ Being an open and approachable leader who listens to YOU
Many students don’t know about the job opportunities available through DCSA, and I want to change that. By creating more roles and making information easily accessible, I’ll help more students gain valuable experience and financial support while studying.
College should be more than just assignments and exams—it should be a place where you feel supported, have fun, and create lasting memories. Let’s make that happen together!
